The Wheel
A poem about acceptance of impermanence
1 min readNov 25, 2020
a new day
a passing phase
thus the way of the world . . .
the wheel turns
fire burns
old garments stripped away . . .
a door closes
another opens
the world incredibly wide . . .
corpses rot
decay the lot
yet always seeds in waiting . . .
thousand tears
clouds of fear
a wonderful time to smile . . .
broken oar
barred by swords
the heart continues laughing . . .
hand of fate
thousand mistakes
victory waits in between . . .
spiraling stairwell
thousand farewells
always another greeting . . .
