I would vouchsafe that just as there are many forms of Christianity there are forms of practicing Satanists. I worked at a metaphysical bookstore in L.A. years ago. One day there was a young man wanting to find the Necronomicon. That was one book they had decided not to sell. I asked him why. He said that he grew up in a village in Mexico and people picked on him. He wanted to return being powerful and exact revenge. We also had a section of Aleister Crowley books locked away. The reason they were locked away was due to Crowley's philosophy of do as thou wilt. Followers would just steal the books. Wiccans have a similar creed with the added, as long as it harms none. Crowley saw himself as the Beast.
