I have been teaching in Waldorf schools now for over 25 years, in private, charter, and public. I agree with a lot of what you said and have experienced the Waldorf dogma in the private schools. I prefer the charter and public where the curriculum is emphasized and everyone is left to do their own spiritual practice or not. And since there is generally no Waldorf police other educational ideas are free to be used. Having lived in Africa and a long-time practitioner of Eastern meditation, I have made sure I brought in other stories from cultures and religions from around the world. I love Waldorf education but the movement needs a lot of change.

My teacher training was primarily an old Swiss Anthroposophist and butted heads quite a bit. However, when I went to one of the large training centers I found that there were a lot more ideas being espoused. I hope you are now teaching at a place more to your liking. Cheers.
